I am treating an area rug with a cat urine smell. I have been able to repeatedly spray the underside as well as the topside of the rug. The product is working better than the enzyme spray but has not removed the odor completely. It has thankfully removed the odor left behind by the surfactant in the steam cleaner (which made it smell like a campground loo). I am no longer hit in the face with the smell of urine when I enter the home but I can still smell it when I am near the area.

I continue to apply the product on the top of the rug every evening and will re-apply it to the underside again this weekend as the seller recommends getting through to all layers.

One thing to note is that this rug is made of recycled PET fiber, not cotton. This may be a factor.

However, I do believe that My Pet Peed is an excellent product and will I always keep a bottle on hand as I continue to foster sickly felines. I really appreciate that it is odorless and easy to use and will recommend this product to my pet owners friends.
